Behind  the pseudonym Pierre La Police hides one of the French comics  underground-scene reference author whose real identity remains  unknown. His work challenges any attempt of classification and places  itself at the boundary between comic, animation and visual arts.  Through the juxtaposition of incongruous elements taken from the  media flux following no apparent logic, Pierre La Police subjects  mass culture to radical criticism.
              He begins  publishing his drawings in the early 90s in French newspapers and  magazines, amongst which “Les Inrockuptibles”, “Libération”,  “Le Soir”, “So Foot”. The cult photographic novel La  Balançoire de Plasma (1996-1999,  Cornelius), Top  Télé Maximum, a  synthesis of the “best” 90s seen-on-TV, and the Véridique! (1999-2002) collection  are the works that better represent the complexity of the artistic  career of Pierre La Police.
