Born as a literary award promoted by Coop Adriatica and Librerie.Coop, the contest “Coop for Words – Scrivere giovane” has become – thanks to the website www.coopforwords.it - a permanent showcase for young artists.
Although the contest was at first divided in three sections, more linked to “pure” writing (short stories, poems and blogs), the initiative has broaden with a special section dedicated to comics. The works of young artists can be send to  be published or can be put forward as candidates to the literary prize  “Coop for Words”, which continues to be carried out once a year, with the contribution of a prestigious jury of experts.
For the comics section, the participants have been invited to present a two-plates free subject short story. The jury has chosen, from the over 400 works send to the “Coop for words” 2009 edition, forty winner texts, ten for each category.
The stories, poems, blogs and comics chosen by the jury have been published by Bohumil Edizioni in an anthological book titled "A.A.A. cercasi realtà" sold in Coop Adriatica hypermarkets and supermarkets and in Librerie Coop since October. Still in October 2009, some of the winners and finalists have participated in the ”Altavoce” show at Bologna, Cesena e Venezia.
On exhibition in the new librerie.coop Ambasciatori bookshop are the plates of Nancy Poltronieri e Cristina Portolano, first and second place at the 2009 edition of the contest.
