Flashfumetto (www.flashfumetto.it) is a website of the Municipality of Bologna entirely dedicated to comics, that hosts a rich section dedicated to professional authors and young artists from the territory. It promotes the third edition of a un countrywide contest open to every young artist and that has obtained important acknowledgement with the participation of almost 200 participants in the previous editions. The goal is still that of playing and experimenting with codes and rules of the comic language.
While "30 minuti in 2000 pixel" had deepened the representation of time in a space set in advance, “Moving Pixel” intended the production of a work whose only narrative bond was the representation of movement.
The narrative bond in “The sound of Pixel” will focus on the representation of sound. In the plate there must be represented at least three different sounds, with different onomatopoeias, colours and forms, graphic signs or every other way that stimulates the imaginativeness of participants.
During the festival an exhibition is going to be held at the Auditorium in Sala Borsa. Thanks to it Flashfumetto celebrates its 5th year of life. The continuous growth of visits and access to the website, having become a referent point for curious, lovers and insiders countrywide, confirming the attention around this project, characterized by the high visibility given to young people, to their talent and creativity.
The exhibition is going to show a selection of the works arrived at the website (previously discussed by a jury of experts), the best of which will be also awarded at the exhibition inauguration.
In occasion of Bilbolbul it is also going to be published a compilation of the best of the three editions of the contest.
