Laura Camelli, alias Came, is a member of the bolognese Ernest group, one of the most varied and active situations of Italian selfpublished comics.
Her personality, very attentive to reality and to the situations that surrounds her, brought her to realizze the travel diary "Diaboli e dimòni da viaggio" published in Ernest, 1, that collects postcard illustrations created after a stay in Shanghai.
Before getting involved with the the no-drawing-on-the-cover Ernest do-it yourself productions, Laura published illustrations and comics for the free press and Italian and foreign DIY productions “Tribù”, “Il peso del martello”, “Deliropolis”, “Supertranquillo”.
More recent are her publications for Becco Giallo Editore in collaboration with the Sherwood Comix Festival, which chose her to be part of two anthologies on Italian independent comics: Resistenze, Cronache di ribellione quotidiana in 2007 and Zerotolleranza, l'antologia del fumetto indipendente italiano in 2008.
In occasion of Bilbolbul, Betty&Books bookshop is going to hold a personal exhibition, meanwhile a limited edition catalogue will be published by Ernest, with a selection of black & white panels of the artist with colour interventions.
