Yvan Alagbé and the Italian writers collective Wu Ming share a way storytelling that draws from symbols and myths to talk about the present. Great explorers of symbols and writers of the struggles of human relationships, they reflect on how to write about migrations and displacement.

Yvan Alagbé is a French comics artist. His latest book is Yellow Negroes and Other Imaginary Creatures (New York Review of Books, 2018).

Wu Ming2 is part of the Italian writers’ collective Wu Ming (a chinese word for “anonymous”). He wrote the novels Guerra agli umani (Einaudi, 2004) and Timira (with Antar Mohamed, Einaudi, 2012).
