Nora Krug, author of the critically acclaimed graphic novel Heimat (Einaudi, 2019) and Italian filmmaker Chiara Sambuchi have a lot in common: they both spent years living abroad, experiencing the displacement of a life lived far from home, and they both share a storytelling method based on archival research.
In this talk they discuss their works and the different medium they use to tell stories: cinema and comics.

Nora Krug is a German-American artist and illustrator. Her latest graphic novel is Heimat (Einaudi, 2018).
Chiara Sambuchi is an Italian filmmaker and director. She worked for RAI, Italian national tv network, in Berlin, where she also founded her production company, LAVAFILM. She directed films, reportages and documetaries for ARTE, ARD, History Channel and ZDF, which earned her several awards. Her latest films are Good morning Africa, Wrong Planet and La città delle donne.
