A limited-edition book, that is hand-illustrated, hand-printed and hand-bound. It is a product by Griffo, la grande festa delle lettere with the support of Fondazione Del Monte. Tipi di Bologna tells fascinating facts about some personalities that have made history of typography in Bologna through linocuts illustrations by Giulia Garbin, Stefano Riba’s linotype texts and the technical skills of Anonima Impressori. It is not a nostalgic journey, but a re-discover of traditions and ancient – but not old-fashioned – techniques, of the passion for human sciences and of contemporary artist books. The bolonian edition is out three years after Tipi di Torino, published in 2014 by Print About Me Micro-Press and printed by Archivio Tipografico.
