The exhibition shows of the three winners of a national competition for cartoonists and graphic designers aimed at creating a heroine – Shero – who embodies the values of the Istanbul Convention on the prevention of violence against women, telling a story that can inspire others to work to transform society and fight this persistent phenomenon.

The competition is part of the European campaign Step up!, coordinated by Wave Network – Women against violence Europe, the European network of anti-violence centres, and implemented in Italy by D.i.Re, Donne in rete contro la violenza, which brings together 80 women’s organisations that run anti-violence centres and shelters in 18 regions.
