november 23rd – dicember 6th | Berberè Pizzeria
opening november 22nd h 6.30 p.m
in collaboration with Wallonia-Brussels Federation, 001 Edizioni
Aniss El Hamouri is the author of Tingling, a graphic novel just published in Italy for 001 Edizioni and presented for the first time at BilBOlbul, after being published in France and Belgium in 2017.
Tingling tells the story of Renata, a young wannabe writer. Her love life is falling apart, she is drifting apart from her family and friends, and she feels shivers down her back every time she finds herself near some indefinite and impending danger. One night, at a party, she meets Corvo and Beluga, two tugs – part anarchists, part criminals – and she joins them. And so begins an odyssey in the slums of the metropolis, where Renata desperately tries to become a new person.
The exhibition mixes original drawings and color prints from the book.
During the opening, the author will customize the windows of Berberè Pizzeria.
