Pinocchio was born from a piece of wood and Geppetto’s desire to have a puppet for company. Their story of mischief, lies, fears, frauds and fugues but also of generosity, affection and courage is embellished thanks to the illustrations by Luca Caimmi. Child metaphor, the text of Collodi becomes an aquatic and nocturnal Pinocchio where all human characters are marine creatures.

On show at Mirabilia the drawings of the book just published by Orecchio Acerbo and a wunderkammer that takes us inside the belly of the shark, a place of memory and hopes where you can observe sculptures and drawings in the dim light of a lamp.
