Every day something new happens to the Carrot Cake King: his assistant (that slacker!) never stops pooping even when he goes to sleep inside a pencil box, and every single day he has to bring mozzarella to his wife who lives on the moon. But fortunately his grandpa is the coolest: he stopped a tornado with his bare hands, and picked all the colors of the rainbow. Born from Yoshiko Noda aka Yocci’s overflowing imagination, the adventures of Carrot Cake King are brief glimpses of nonsensical humor that will make you discover the world of this soft and crumbly monarch.

On the occasion of BilBOlbul and alongside the presentation of the first three volumes of the series – L’assistente del Re, Il nonno del Re e Un regalo per la Regina – corrainiMAMbo artbookshop hosts an exhibition dedicated to Yocci: an overview of the Japanese artist and illustrator’s last ten years of work, from the tales of the Carrot Cake King to several of her prints, unique pieces and original designs.
