At the festival

BilBOlbul continues its fruitful collaboration with the hotel Al Cappello Rosso Albergo in Bologna dal 1375. As in the past editions of the festival, this year an artist will create an ad hoc project for one of the rooms in the hotel, enriching the collection of thematic rooms. After interpretations by Blexbolex, Liniers, Ruppert & Mulot and Alessandro Baronciani, this year the paintbrush is passed to Anna Deflorian.

The young Italian comics artist and illustrator Anna Deflorian gives special attention to diverse textures and cross-seminations in her work; she has a taste for bright colors and a way of narrating that mixes everyday life with the absurd, often with tales about young adults. Porcelain dolls brought to earth by aliens, gods of war with feisty jaws, trendy t-shirts, red hair and blazing skies. All of these things find their place in Deflorian’s ripe imagination and on the walls of a room that over the years will be visited by new guests of the hotel.
