AT FESTIVAL
Migrations – A story for history a fumetti is an initiative addressed to students and newly graduates of Bologna Accademia di Belle Arti three-year course in Illustration and Comic, and two-year course in Comic Languages. The project was promoted by UniCredit Foundation in collaboration with Hamelin Associazione Culturale and Accademia di Belle Arti, with the purpose to show how comic language can be used as an interpretative tool. The drawers were therefore asked to translate into comics some stories written by UniCredit employees within A story for history, an initiative that collects true life reports of migration experienced by UniCredit employees themselves, or by their families and friends.
The ten students and newly graduates of Bologna Accademia di Belle Arti selected within Migrations – A story for history a fumetti, and winners of a scholarship sponsored by UniCredit Foundation are: Simone Cortesi, Isaak Friedl, Anna Deflorian, Marina Girardi, Eugenia Monti, Gabriele Peddes, Nicolò Pellizzon, Martina Poli, Cristina Portolano e Liliana Salone.
The project will be presented to the audience in occasion of BilBolBul Festival with an exhibition at UniCredit main office in Via Zamboni 20. All the selected drawings reveal a remarkable capability to acquire and render such personal paths through an original interpretation from both, narrative and graphic points of view.
UniCredit Foundation has been organizing Programma Migrations since 2008 with the aim to inform and diffuse social awareness towards international migrations issues, and to involve – within their community – UniCredit employees.
