The portraits of Paper Resistance are the final result of the project “IO SONO QUI!” (“I AM HERE!”), which involved youth from the Istituo Penale Minorile P. Siciliani di Bologna in a workshop on the story of themselves. The drawings of their faces, displayed on the outside walls of the building, represent the possibility for communication between those inside the prison and the passers-by outside, thus bringing together two worlds that rarely come into contact.

Paper Resistance started drawing in 2001. He is one of the founders of the collective inguine.net and of the magazine “Inguine mah!gazine”, where he publishes regularly. His works have been exhibited in Italy and abroad. In 2005, he published 25 disegni, an illustrated split-book divided with cartoonist Squaz. His drawings are found in the books Bigger than hip-hop by U_net and Con il sangue agli occhi by George Jackson, published by Agenzia X. In 2008, he published the story Handcuffs, an illustrated/historic journey about handcuffs. He produced and edited publications for Blu, Ericailcane, Squaz, Ratigher, Alessandro Baronciani, Dem, Rekal, Maicol and Mirco. For the festival, he released his comic book Vertigo, published by ZOOO – Print and Press.
